Our Story

Three decades of building in San Diego.

Laurcon Development is a full service premier luxury home builder that has provided general contracting services to clients throughout the greater San Diego area for more than thirty years.

The Foundation

A San Diego family, building for San Diego families.

Lance Audette founded Laurcon Development as a graduate of San Diego State University and a fifth generation San Diegan. He grew up in this county, learned the trades here, and built his reputation street by street across communities his family has known for generations.

That local depth is not incidental to the work. It is why we understand how Coronado reviews a set of plans, how a Rancho Santa Fe estate site drains in a heavy winter, and which tradesmen can be trusted on a home that will still be admired fifty years from now.

Our team includes the finest tradesmen in the region. Many have worked alongside Laurcon for the better part of their careers. The result is a quality of product that is difficult to match and, more importantly, consistent from one project to the next.

Family Owned and Operated

A second generation joins the work.

Laurcon is a family owned and operated business. Lance was recently joined full time by his son, Connor Audette, also a graduate of San Diego State University, who has moved into the role of site superintendent.

Connor brings fresh inspiration to the field along with innovative technologies that continue to streamline how we plan, document, and communicate. Clients see the benefit directly in clearer reporting, better site coordination, and faster answers.

Two generations working side by side is the clearest expression of what this company believes. We are not building for the next quarter. We are building a name our family will carry for a long time.

What We Believe

Four principles that govern every project.

These are the commitments clients can hold us to, on the best day of a project and on the hardest one.

Integrity

We tell you what a project will actually cost and how long it will actually take, even when a more comfortable answer is available.

Transparency

Budgets, allowances, change orders, and schedules are documented and shared. Nothing about the money should ever be a mystery.

Experience

Thirty years of coastal construction produces judgment that cannot be shortcut. We have seen how buildings age here.

Collaboration

Architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and neighbors are treated as partners in the outcome, not obstacles to it.

Coastal custom residence in San Diego

Our Specialty

Premier homes on the Southern California coast.

We specialize in premier luxury homes and high end new construction throughout San Diego's coastal communities. Our clients come from across the world, drawn by the opportunity to create a one of a kind home in one of Southern California's most desirable locations.

Coastal building is its own discipline. Salt air, marine moisture, seismic design, view protection, and demanding local review boards all shape how a home must be detailed and sequenced. We build to that reality rather than around it.

  • Coronado, La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Point Loma
  • Ground up custom homes, estates, and substantial whole home remodels
  • Design review and entitlement coordination alongside your architect
  • Corrosion and moisture detailing built for a marine environment
Our goal is simple. Provide a personalized building experience and deliver a home that exceeds expectations for generations to come.
