San Diego Luxury Home Builder
Laurcon Development is a family owned luxury home builder and general contractor serving San Diego and the Southern California coast. Three decades of custom residences, delivered with craftsmanship, transparency, and respect for the people who will live in them.
Who We Are
Laurcon Development is a full service luxury home builder providing general contracting services to clients across the greater San Diego area for more than thirty years.
Lance Audette founded the company as a fifth generation San Diegan and a graduate of San Diego State University. What began as one builder's commitment to doing the work properly has grown into a team that includes some of the finest tradesmen in the region.
We specialize in premier luxury homes and high end new construction throughout San Diego's coastal communities. Our clients come from across the world, drawn by the opportunity to create a one of a kind home in one of Southern California's most desirable places to live.
Laurcon remains family owned and family operated. That is not a marketing line. It is the reason our standards have never drifted.
The Standard
A luxury home reveals itself in the places most people never look. The alignment of a reveal. The way a stair tread meets a wall. Whether the mechanical room was planned or improvised.
Our team is built around long standing relationships with the best tradesmen in the region. Many have worked alongside us for decades. They know our expectations before we state them, and they do not cut corners on a Laurcon job because they intend to be on the next one.
What We Do
Laurcon delivers the complete scope of work required to take a property from raw idea to finished home, and we are equally comfortable stepping into a project already underway.

How We Work
We collaborate with homeowners, architects, structural engineers, interior designers, subcontractors, and neighboring property owners to keep a project moving smoothly and respectfully from concept to completion.
Open communication, integrity, experience, and transparency guide every decision we make. You will always know what is happening on your site, what it costs, and what comes next.
The Path Forward
We learn the property, the vision, and the budget before anyone commits to anything.
Constructability review, detailed budgeting, scheduling, and permit coordination.
Daily supervision, weekly reporting, and quality control at every inspection point.
Punch, commissioning, documentation, warranty, and a relationship that continues.
Every home we build is unique, reflecting the vision, lifestyle, and aspirations of the people who will enjoy it for a lifetime.Lance Audette, Founder
Where We Build
Each San Diego jurisdiction has its own design review culture, permitting rhythm, and construction constraints. Familiarity with those differences protects your schedule.
Tight lots, strict design review, and constrained site logistics. The majority of our recent new construction sits on the island.
Hillside conditions, view corridors, and contemporary architecture that leaves no room for imprecise work.
Estate scale properties, Covenant design guidelines, and long lead custom materials that must be procured early.
Questions
We build throughout San Diego County with a concentration in the coastal communities. Coronado, La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Point Loma, Encinitas, and Carlsbad make up the majority of our recent work.
Our office is in El Cajon, which keeps our leadership within reach of every coastal jurisdiction we serve.
A ground up custom home in a coastal community typically runs between sixteen and thirty months from the start of construction, depending on size, complexity, and the level of finish.
Design and permitting happen before that window begins. In jurisdictions such as Coronado and the California Coastal Commission review areas, entitlement alone can take a year or longer. We give you a realistic calendar early rather than an optimistic one.
Both approaches work. Many clients arrive with an architect and interior designer already engaged, and we integrate into that team. Others ask us to recommend design professionals whose work suits the project and the site.
In either case we prefer to join the conversation early. A builder involved during design can flag cost and constructability issues while they are still inexpensive to solve.
Yes. Laurcon Development holds California contractor license number 839482, carries a contractor bond, and maintains general liability and workers compensation coverage. Certificates are provided to every client and to any lender or association that requires them.
You can verify our license status at any time through the Contractors State License Board.
Begin
Every Laurcon project begins with a conversation about the land, the vision, and the budget. There is no obligation and no pressure, only an honest read on what it will take to build well.
